Photos: Ade Bantu shaves off his dreads after 23 years

Nigeria-German born singer/songwriter, Ade Bantu has shaved off his signature long dreads for a short hair cut after 23 long years of wearing dreadlocks. He said concerning his new hairstyle,

"After 23 years I decided it was time to let go and move on. It wasn't easy, but hey the only constant in life is change and Sometimes we must embrace it fearlessly. #metamorphosis"

I hear people who wear dreads for many years become sentimentally attached to it and some might go as becoming spiritual about it, not sure tho, but from the pic on the left, it seems, a prayer was said before the clippers were set in motion. See more photos and his new look after the jump...
