Buhari Sacks Ado Bayero 14 Weeks After Jonathan Appointed Him

This gist has it that-President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Sanusi Ado Bayero after former president Goodluck Jonathan appointed him 14 weeks ago in what appears a reversal of his predecessor’s action.

The termination of Mr. Bayero’s appointment is with immediate effect, a statement by Femi Adesina, the special adviser on media and publicity to the President, said.

“He is to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Habibu Abdullahi who has been reinstated as Managing Director of the NPA by President Buhari,” Mr. Adesina said.

President Buhari wishes Alhaji Bayero well in his future endeavours, the statement added.
