His lawyer's words:
He did not get a fair trial and the judge handling the case showed bias and obstructed the defence. Federal prosecutors were more interested in high-profile headlines than an objective trial.
The appeal points out that the judge blocked important evidence that could have shown that FTX was not actually insolvent and that the company's assets could have covered customer losses.
