Nwosu demands Eagles victory

Former Nigeria international, Henry Nwosu has charged the Super Eagles to go for outright victory against their South African opponents, Bafana Bafana.
The African champions will be the guests of the Southern African nation in the Nelson Mandela Challenge at the Moses Mahdiba Stadium, Durban, South Africa on Wednesday.
The annual high-profile showdown is to commemorate the birthday of Africa's living legend, Nelson Mandela as well as raise money for his pet charity project.
Nwosu said though the encounter is a friendly duel he does not expect the Eagles to lose for the sake of their status as the reigning African champions.
"If we decide to view the tie as friendly or must-win-game both views are in order as I don't expect them to lose rather to win.
"Thr Eagles must approach the encounter with the highest level of seriousness.
"Of course, the Super Eagles' name is at stake as African champions more so as the game is expected to serve as a prelude to the 2014 Fifa World Cup final group fixture qualifying match against the Flames of Malawi.
"South Africans are not hiding their preference to win the game, at least, to present the trophy to their former leader we shouldn't allow them to have their way, we must go all out to win to keep our exalted name intact," said the former Green Eagles captain to supersport.com.
Nwosu does not see the reduced number of domestic players in the squad against the South Africans as a mark of inconsistency on the path of the coach, Stephen Keshi.
"Keshi needs our support and understanding at all times and in every decision he takes. The hosts may have made the specification on the percentage and ratio of players for the game.
"We have a crucial game against Malawi after the Mandela Challenge, that game is important and if the coach decides to further experiment in order to present the best legs against Malawi we're duty bound to oblige him. So I don't see it as inconsistency in his policy vis-a-vis the local players," the ex-Golden Eaglets coach said.
Keshi listed four domestic players for the Nelson Mandela Challenge, Chigozie Agbim, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Sunday Mba and Godfrey Oboabona.
