POLICE ARRESTS DINO MELAYE AND OTHER PROTESTERS OVER ODUAH-MUST-GO PROTEST IN ABUJA
Dino MelayeThe Nigerian Police in Abuja had today, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 arrested former Law Maker, Dino Melaye.
Melaye, the Executive Director, Anti-Corruption Network, organised a protest calling for the removal of the Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, over the armoured car scandal.
The protest which
was said to be full of drama, saw another group drumming support for the embattled Minister and ended up clashing with Melaye’s group at the Federal Secretariat Abuja at about 11 am this morning.
IT would be recalled that Aviation Minster, Stella Oduah was enmeshed in an alleged misappropriation scandal. Where she allegedly ordered the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to buy her two bullet-proof BMW cars, worth $1.6m (about N255m).
