I was listening to the radio this morning and the matter of a pastor that macheted his wife was being discussed. While some have suggested that he should be hanged, others have said he should only be thrown in prison.
Violence against women has been fought against by some groups. No doubt, a man has
no right to lay his hands on any woman, whether she is his wife or not.
For those who have not read the story, here is a summary of what happened.
Daniel, an Apostolic Church pastor was reported to have used a cutlass to inflict a deep cut on his wife, Patient Samuel in her neck in Owode-Egba in Ibafemi Owode local government area of Ogun State.
It was gathered that, the offence of the 42 -year -old wife of the Pastor was because she gave preference to her work over the church programs.
It was further gathered that, shortly after the man attacked his wife with cutlass, he alerted the neighbors that his wife has been matcheted by some unknown men , urging the people to help him take his wife to hospital. But with a lot of torture from the police he confessed that he was the one who did it to her.
Taking a cursory look into this matter, why would a pastor harm his wife for refusing to go to church. Should this man be charged for attempted murder or what?
What is your take on this? Let's have your say.
May be the whole issue of not taking church service serious was affecting her husband as a minister of God then Devil swiftly takes advantage of it against them, well its a pity its happened that way, my own take here is if he's expressing remorse over his actions then there is need for forgiveness yeah...
ReplyDeleteDevil used him... Instead of praying for his wife for change of attitude he rather took law into his fucking hallowed hand hmmm it a pity for him, he should be sanctioned
ReplyDeleteEnd of case ''behind the bar'' no two ways about it....
