EEB gathered that a shop in the premises of the famous Unilag Yem Yem shopping complex was gutted by fire early today.
According to some sources, although it can’t be currently verified as at the time of filing this report, the fire started from a dustbin close to the shop. Interestingly some boys who went to help put out the fire, could be seen vandalizing Yem Yem supermarket and going away with sweets, chocolates e.t.c.
This is the second fire incident in University of Lagos this week, with the first taking place at the popular Madam Tinubu Hall on Sunday, and like the first, there was delayed response by the fire service.
