TRAGEDY: Fire Razes Popular Filmmaker’s Bungalow In Lagos State

Popular playwright and filmmaker of his generation, Ola Balogun’s bungalow has been razed down by fire. The bungalow at 11, Aje street Sabo-Yaba was completely razed down yesterday, while even spreading to another building..

It was learnt that the fire, started at about 2:30am in the bungalow, was suspected to have caused by power surge. The filmmaker who turns 70 in August watched as his house was razed as repeated calls made to fire fighters were not answered on-time.

However, some of his belonging and vehicles parked in the compound were salvaged by neighbours, who came to his rescue. So painful.
