The Sokoto State Governor To Give N1m To Cleanest Community

This information has it that the Sokoto State Government has introduced a monthly incentive of one million naira to any district adjudged to be the cleanest in the state. Governor Aminu Tambuwal disclosed this yesterday at the flag-off of special environmental sanitation programme in Sokoto, saying the incentive is part of measures to enhance cleanliness and preservation of the environment.

He said the incentive is one in a series of efforts lined up by the government to protect the health of the people. Environmental sanitation will happen every Saturday in the State for the next one month, and continues every first Saturday of the month, soon as that ends.
