We got this latest gist that A British tourist has been rescued after falling
into an open sewer drain in Bangkok. The man who is 46, slipped and fell into
the uncovered whole in the north of the Thai capital after he left a restaurant
with two friends at around 11.30pm.
A spokesman for the rescue service said: "He was up to
his chest in liquid waste but it at least gave him a soft landing that meant
his injuries were not too severe."
He added that the man's friends had raised the alarm after
seeing him fall into the 10ft hole.
