
The Hamburg division of the state police said he was found at Hawk Mountain sanctuary. He died of a self-inflicted wound, the police said.
The college, in Chestertown, had shut down operations after information indicated that he was armed.

Police in the Philadelphia and Maryland areas were looking for 19-year-old Washington College student Jacob Marberger after his family reported him missing on Monday. The family said he came home in the middle of the night and took a rifle case, which may or may not have had the gun inside and was not responding to text messages.

Police say Marberger made no threats to harm anyone in Pennsylvania or Maryland, but Cheltenham High School, where he attended, was on lockout on Monday and Washington College was closed all week.
Missing Washington College student found Authorities searched for the student, who was reported last seen in the Hamburg, Pa., area at some point Nov. 16. That was the day he reportedly was seen purchasing ammunition.
The car he was believed to be driving was also located at the sanctuary where his body was found.
