Brain Dead Son Miraculously Wakes Up After Dad Threaten Doctors With Gun

News reaching us has it that George Pickering II, the father of the brain-dead boy, marched into the intensive care unit threatening medical staff when they threatened to turn off his son's life support.

 

During the altercation with police, his son George Pickering III miraculously squeezed his father's hand, proving he was still conscious.

 

Doctors had ordered a 'terminal wean'  where life support is slowly withdrawn after George III appeared brain dead following a stroke in January.

 

He had already been placed on an organ donation register and his mum and brother had given their consent.

But his dad George II was determined his son would pull through and following his intervention, George III is now recovering and doing well.

 

"I knew if I had three or four hours that night that I would know whether George was brain-dead. During that three hours, George squeezed my hand three or four times on command."

 

George II was charged with two counts of aggravated assualt with a deadly weapon after holding up Tomball Regional Medical Center in Texas with a gun.

 

He admitted to being drunk and aggressive but said it was only because he knew his son would survive.

 

Asked why he felt the need to take a gun and threaten people, the dad replied: "At that point I had blinders on. All I knew I just needed to have this time with George."

 

After hours of negotiations, police drew back the curtain around George III's bed using a robot and George II surrendered.

 

"There was a law broken, but it was broken for all the right reasons. I'm here now because of it. It was love, it was love," he added.
