The trending gist as the American media mogul, talk show host and philanthropist, Oprah Winfrey, who is already one of the richest women in the world with a net worth of $3billion, has just increased that fortune by another $12million by simply posting a single tweet.

The hollywood actress who is a shareholder in Weight Watchers posted a short video message on her Twitter account about how she was able to lose 26 pounds while still eating bread.

She said in the short clip, "I don’t deny myself bread, I have bread every day. That’s the genius of this programme – I lost 26lbs and I have eaten bread every single day."

The link was shared alongside a message which read: "Eat bread. Lose weight. Whaaatttt? #ComeJoinMe."

According to Market Watch, shortly after the post went live, shares in the weight loss brand (of which Oprah owns $6 million, making her the largest individual stakeholder) increased by 18 per cent, or around $2.10 per share, within an hour.

While the 61-year-old may have become that bit wealthier as a result, she won’t be able to bank her profits just yet as she would have to sell her shares to get the funds.

Oprah has been a spokesperson for Weight Watchers since October, after buying 10 per cent of their shares for around $43.2m following in the footsteps of previous spokespeople including Jenny McCarthy and Jennifer Hudson.

When she joined the company, the share price rose by a staggering 105 per cent, and saw another spike later that month when she told talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres she had lost 15 pounds thanks to the weight-loss programme.
