The news on our news desk has it that Injuries As Explosions Rock Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square, killing at least 10 people. The district is the city's main sightseeing area, and is home to the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace.
It was also confirmed that the governor of Istanbul confirmed 10 people had lost their lives, and 15 had been injured.
We gathered that the actual reason for the cause of the blast has not yet been confirmed by the time of publication of this news, but there are reports that it could have been a suicide bomb attack. An investigation into the cause is underway.
