We are thrill to bring to your view the latest gist and photos on how Okezie Ikpeazu's election as the governor of Abia State has been upheld by the Supreme Court
as it gave the ruling validating the April 11 governorship election on
Wednesday night, but did not provide reasons for its judgment.
We gathered that the Supreme Court reversed the decision of the Court of Appeal which nullified Ikpeazu’s election on December 31, 2015, and ruled that Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the lawfully cast votes in the April 11, 2015 election.

His supporters took to the streets to celebrate with Ikpeazu in
high spirits and he consolidates his position as the governor of the
state.
It can be recalled that the Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri had
on December 31, removed Ikpeazu as governor and also declared Alex Otti
of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) the winner of the April 11
and April 25 supplementary elections in the state.
