The news reaching us now has it that the Nigerian Army earlier today invaded Oporoza looking for militants belonging to the now dreaded Niger Delta Avengers. According to SaharaReporters, the military came in 4 warships to confront the militants.
As this is not surprising as the Avengers have been bombing oil installations across the Niger Delta as they insisted that they want autonomy.
However, President Muhammadu Buhari has decided to confront them by sending the military to crush the militants.
But, so far, it has not worked. How the latest move will go so far is yet to be seen as elders in the Niger Delta have warned the president of not escalating issues by using military against the militants which they believe will only incense them the more.
