The angry football fans nearly lynched the police officer
The fresh report, If not that he ran away, an overzealous policeman would have been lynched by angry fans for trying to snatch a Biafran flag from a fan during a football match between Rangers of Enugu and Abia Warriors of Umuahia in Enugu.
According to reporters, a group of young Igbo youths were moving round with Ogene music when one of them was seen displaying Biafran flag. His action provoked a police officer within the stadium and he moved towards the young man holding the flag and attempted to snatch it from him.
But, he was surprised when everyone around there descended on him and nearly lynched him.
