SPORTS UPDATE as Akilo Appeals to Niger Tornadoes Fans

Latest sports news as the Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper, Mustapha Akilo, has pleaded with fans of the club to keep faith with the team.

His appeal comes after Tornadoes were held to a goalless draw by Wikki Tourists last weekend.

They had taken the lead through Kunle Isa, but Wikki equalized through Charles Henlong in the second half.

“We did not finish on our chances and it came back to

bite us again,” Aliko told Goal.

“In the end we had too many chances to not have a second goal, so I’m disappointed.

“The game is over we can’t continue to dwell on the past. We hope to make amends in future.

“On behalf of the entire team, we are appealing to our fans to have faith in us.”

Tornadoes travel to Shooting Stars this weekend.
