News as Militants Who Came To Peacefully Surrender Arms To Okorocha Ambushed & Shot

The latest news reaching us has it that security agents have engaged in a violent confrontation with Niger Delta Militants leading to the death of one of the militants.
Report reveal that the militants operating in the Ohaji/Egbema local council area of Imo State and Imo Security Network operatives faced-off on Wednesday, September 28.
According to News Reporters, the militants had come out to peacefully surrender their weapons but it led to a bloody confrontation.
Mr. Andrew Enwerem who is the spokesperson of the Imo state police command confirmed the report.
He said: “The first information report available to the police is that the militants were coming to Owerri in about three buses, to peacefully surrender their weapons, when they were confronted by ISN.”
We gathered that Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo had called on militants in the region to surrender their weapon peacefully and some of them have complied.
