Report have it that the ancient city is agog with ceremonies which are steeped in ancient tradition. The crown prince, Eheneden Erediauwa is being coronated as the 39th monarch of the kingdom. The event is attended by prominent Nigerians and first class traditional rulers from across the country.
Among them are the Sultan of Sokoto, the Emir of Kano, the Olu of Warri, the Ooni of Ife and the Obi of Onitsha.
The chairman of the Coronation Planning Committee prof. Greg Akenzua told Channels Television that everything necessary had been done to make the ceremony as memorable as possible.
