Seun Egbegbe after being allegedly caught and beaten for stealing iPhone 7
Current news as Lagos-based film-maker, Seun Egbegbe, the estranged lover of
popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu, who was arrested at the
popular Computer village in Ikeja on Tuesday for allegedly stealing
iPhones, has been arraigned in court by the Lagos State Police Command.
In A statement on Wednesday which was credited to Seun Egbegbe, claimed that he was neither arrested nor beaten by any mob.
Base on information on our news desk the statement read in part, “The story is pretty laughable and
better left in the court of public opinion. Ordinarily, I do not want to
join issues with the writer of the publication, but I have a
responsibility to set the records straight for my fans, friends and
foes, in the defence of the truth.
“To say the least, the news did not only grossly misinform
unsuspecting public; it also portrays traces of campaign of calumny by
some mercenary hell bent on destroying my name, for reasons best known
to them."
LIB is exclusively reported that the film-maker was officially
charged to court by the Police this morning, and is presently at the
Magistrate court in Ikeja.
According to Lagos State Police PRO, Dolapo Badmus, "After Discreet Police Investigation and two nights in custody, Seun Egbegbe has been charged to court for stealing."
