Biafra latest update as A video Footage has emerged
online of late Biafra warlord, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, advising people of
the South East against engaging in another agitation for Biafra.
According to report in the video which has gone
viral, Ojukwu, who had on May 30, 1967 declared Eastern Nigeria a sovereign state,
could be heard telling a foreign journalist that another secession was
unnecessary.
The late Ojukwu could be heard in the video saying, “I led the first one and
I can say I led ‘proudly’ the first one but I don’t think a second one is necessary.
“We should have learnt from the first one, otherwise, they would all have been in vain.”
This is coming at a time when the
Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the Movement for the Actualisation of
the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, had ordered people of the South Eat to
sit-at-home as part of events to mark the 50th declaration of Biafra.
