Spanish prosecutors are considering whether the player should face charges over the allegations.
Spain’s tax agency are claiming that Ronaldo defrauded the
authorities of €15million between 2011 and 2014.
Prosecutors said they have until the end of June to decide whether to charge the Portugal captain, based on evidence from an investigation by tax officials.
The tax office asked prosecutors to press charges against Ronaldo for tax fraud and requested a minimum five-year jail term.
If he is found guilty by a court, Ronaldo would face a prison sentence of at least 15 months.
