
The current latest news reveals that the All Progressives Congress (APC)
will on August 12 conduct its governorship primaries in Anambra State.
About 12 aspirants are said to have collected the governorship
nomination forms.
Report gathered according to the timetable obtained Monday, the aspirants would be screened from July 31 to August 4; while the Appeal Screening Committee would listen to
Appeals from August 5 to 8.
It is reported through a source at the APC National Secretariat who said that the National
Working Committee was considering the governor of Sokoto State, Aminu
Tambuwal, as the chairman of the primaries committee.
The source also stated that the party was looking at party chieftains with integrity to be members of the Screening and Appeal Panel Committees.
According to the source, the issue of Ondo State Governorship Appeal Panel Committee is still afresh in the minds of the party.
