See how Nigerians react to Buhari’s nationwide broadcast

Read as the Nigerians have reacted with mixed feelings to President Muhammadu Buhari’s address to the nation on Monday, two days after he returned from medical vacation in the UK.
It is gathered that the speech which did not last up to 10 minutes, addressed issues majorly bordering on security and also the wrong use of social media in spreading fake news.

Some of the reactions on Twitter were positive, with some users happy with Buhari’s return after over 100 days away.

Others were furious with the brevity of the speech and were left uninspired.

Here are some of them below:

Buhari sounded like he’s angry with the social media forgetting that the social media brought him to power

A speech once in 3 months wont stop the hate speeches, neither can it keep Nigeria united. We deserve more than this!

What about addressing ASSU and other pressing needs, so students sitting at home is less important than social media

Very unimpressive disjointed speech!!! pre-recorded &heavily edited!
6 minutes speech to explain 105 days absence!!!!

I was hurrying to come sit and watch the baba give speech, only to be told the meeting is over

Buhari and Ojukwu alone can not decide the fate of 180 million Nigerians. Nigeria is negotiable.

Buhari and Ojukwu alone can not decide the fate of 180 million Nigerians. Nigeria is negotiable.

Let's be clear. The  wasn't to address important issues about governance. It was a warning to critics and agitators

You Heard the Man....Nigerias Unity is Non-Negotiable ...So all those Ultimatum Landlords and Nnamdi...Be afraid ...

If he had tender his resignation today,he would have written his name in the Chronicles of Hero in the world

While i agree with the
President on one united
Nigeria. I disagree him
saying our unity is not
negotiable.

president buhari speech was only directed to the biafran agitation, nothing on the economy. I'm really sad

The thing about govt coming to tell us what they've done is that, when you have to say it, you haven't done enough
If the masses on the street can't feel the positive impact of the said work, then please keep quiet and work harder.
