Killings in Anambra Land Dispute: Pete Edochie's Brother Lands in Serious Trouble

Latest current update as Policemen in Anambra state have arrested the brother of Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie over the killing of five people.

It is reported that A 70-year-old brother of a Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie has been arrested by policemen following the death of five persons killed in a land dispute at Nteje, Oyi local government area of Anambra State. 
Report revealed that the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Rowland Odegbo, disclosed this to newsmen in Awka, the state capital on Monday. He said 18 persons had been arrested from the community over the dispute, including a 70-year-old brother of a Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie.
According to Punch, Odegbo said he escaped being arrested following Governor Willie Obiano’s intervention. He decried incessant harassment of his people by the police from outside the state,

Funsho Williams’ murder: Confusion as defendant slumps in court

A Lagos High Court, Igbosere, was on Wednesday thrown into confusion as an alleged killer of Funsho Williams, a gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, slumped during proceedings.

Mr. Williams, who was murdered in his home on July 27, 2006, was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in 2007.

The second accused in the murder case, Musa Maina, slumped in the dock at the peak of an argument on whether the prosecution should be allowed to collect fresh blood samples from the accused for forensic investigation.
