Teacher, 29, Who Admitted Having S3x With 15-Year Old Student

Gist reaching us has it that-A former teacher who admitted to having a s3xual relationship with a 15-year-old pupil has been jailed. Jennifer Caswell, 29, was sentenced to 10 years behind bars after pleading guilty to six counts of second-degree rape, child enticement and forcible sodomy in June. The mother-of-one will also have to sign the sex offenders register. However her lawyer said he was surprised by the severity of the penalty.

Divorced Caswell previously appeared on a daytime TV show to defend her relationship with the teenager. She told Dr Phil in May:

"I’m not a monster and I’m not a predator. I made a stupid decision."

She said the relationship was consensual and even confessed that
she saw herself marrying the schoolboy. She added that the boy had pursued her when she was vulnerable. Caswell is also being sued by her victim's father for $1million.
