Lecturer Has Rapes 18- Year-old Female Seeking Admission In Unilag - See Photo

 The information on our desk has it that

a part-time lecturer at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Afeez Baruwa, has been arrested by the police in Lagos for allegedly raping an 18-year-old girl, identified as Caroline (not her real name).

 

It was learnt that the victim, who was reportedly raped inside a study room, was seeking admission into the University.

Baruwa who was arrested by the Surulere Police Division on Monday, August 3 told the police in his statement that the sexual intercourse was by mutual consent, insisting that he did not rape the victim.

Caroline got to know the lecturer through her Dad because they both belonged to the same landlords’ association in the Abesan, Ipaja area.

It was gathered that the victim’s father had allowed her daughter to follow the lecturer on July 23, to UNILAG for an admission process.

Angry women protesting alleged rape by herdsmen block highway

Apparently worried by the increasing cases of rape of old women and girls by herdsmen in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, aggrieved women, most of them victims from Irete community, yesterday blocked the Owerri/Onitsha express way to protest the alleged indifference of the authorities to the plight of the women.

The angry women called on the state government and security agencies to take immediate action that would put an end to the unwholesome practice. The spokesperson of the women, Lady Gloria Chukwumezie, noted that they were compelled to embark on the protest to register their anger and to seek an end to the dehumanizing act.

Gay man rapes 13-yr-old boy in Ondo

A 'gay' 35-year-old man, Ilesanmi Omojuyigbe, has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy, Babatunde Adebayo, at Iju area of Ondo State.

It was gathered that the victim was lured to the suspect’s room on the pretext that he wanted to buy frozen fish from the boy.
The victim, on entering the room, was said to have been held down and his trouser forcefully torn before the suspect defiled him.

His mouth was said to have been covered by the suspect so that his cries and shout would not attract neighbours to his house.

15 men gang rape 16-yr-old girl in Rivers

Police have arrested members of a 15-man gang that allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl in Gbuga area of Ogbunabali, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The state Police Commissioner, Mr Tunde Ogunsakin, told newsmen, yesterday, at the Police headquarters in Port Harcourt that the girl allegedly attended a party organised in the area, adding that she took a glass of strong drink offered her by one of the rapists which made her pass out before she was allegedly raped by 15 men.

Man arraigned for raping two-year-old

A 22-year-old man, Chekwube Odunze, has been arraigned before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court for allegedly raping a two-year-old child.

The police said the incident happened at Aboru Oke-Odo area of Lagos.

It was learnt that the defendant was fond of distributing yoghurt to little children in the area, with which he won their friendship.

Odunze, who worked as an operator in a pure water factory, was said to have taken the victim into his room in the afternoon of December 23, 2013.

It was learnt that the victim’s mother was washing clothes when he took her daughter into his room.

Some minutes later, the little girl came out and started pointing towards her private part, while screaming in pains and shouting the defendant’s name.

The mother reportedly checked and saw blood in her child’s pants.

She was said to have reported the matter at the police station, which led to the arrest of the defendant.

Our correspondent gathered that a medical test on the victim proved there was indeed a penetration, although Odunze denied touching the child.

71-Year Old Man Rapes A 7-year-old Girl In Akure

A 71-year-old hunter, Alhaji Kayode Ganiyu raped a 7-year-old pupil, ‘Taye’ a primary school pupil of Oba Ile in Akure in  Ondo State.

The incident occurred at Ayetoru Street in Oba Ile, a suburb of Akure.

According to source who initially witnessed the revelation of the rape case, the 7-year-old girl was returning from school when she was lured by the old man with N10 into his cluttered private one room apartment deceitfully telling her he wanted her to purchase sachet water for him.

The loud cry of the poor little girl, attracted the attention of passerbys who immediately inquired into the incidence.


Narrating her ordeal, the little Taye said she was returning from school and stopped at a nearby well opposite Mr. Ganiyu’s house in order to fetch water and drink but decided against it because the well water was too dirty.

She alleged that ‘Alhaji’ as he is popularly known in the area, was watching her, as she meant to leave Mr. Ganiyu called her into his dingy apartment to get money to purchase water, however, soon as she walked into the room, he forced her onto his bed, covered her mouth and raped her repeatedly
‘’I was thirsty and coming back from school inside the hot sun when Alhaji waved and called me to come and collect money for pure water. I sat down, and he searched through his cloth and brought out N10. I never knew he had closed his door. He pushed me onto the bed, covered my mouth with his hand and did it’’, she narrated and cried profusely.

The little schoolgirl explained that the old man raped her twice. ‘’I was crying painfully when he was raping me, but he would not listen”.
