Was Obasanjo's visit to Buhari on behalf of former First Lady?

Read details belowe please... Former president Obasanjo recently paid a private visit to President Buhari at the presidential villa, and reports filtering in suggest that he did so to intercede on behalf of the wife of late Umaru Yar’Adua, a former president of Nigeria.

Turai had visited Obasanjo last week to beg him to prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari not to harass or victimize her family members or those who worked with her late husband.



Turai’s daughter, who is also the wife of former Governor of Kebbi State, Saidu Dakingar, is under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N2billion fraud perpetrated during her husband’s tenure.


Obasanjo who visited Buhari on Wednesday reportedly discussed other matters of national interest but speculation is rife that the timing of his visit was connected with the earlier visit by Turai to Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.
