It was a night of high emotions and boisterous drinking as the Hotshots unwound after Big Brother revealed his prank.

This morning, they rolled out of bed with difficulty for a demanding vocal session. Trezagah, already up for nomination, decided to take it easy this morning, napping while the rest of his housemates were hard at work with their vocal training.

It seems there is trouble in paradise for Elikem Kumordzie of Ghana and Zimbabwe's Pokello Nare. The couple who met last year while still in Big Brother Africa: The Chase, hit off almost immediately and got engaged in May this year are certainly no longer having a smooth romance. Pokello came online to make public that a certain 46 years old, Gloria Lamptey is fighting her over Elikem. Former Big Brother Winner, Uti Nwanchukwu Returns to Big Brother House

Big Brother Africa 5 winner Uti and several former housemates will be joining the show (Big Brother Hotshots) later today.

Big Brother made the announcement yesterday. The plan is to make the current housemates believe Uti and others will be competing for the prize but they will be there for a while, probably 7 days or less.

Samantha from South Africa and Mr. 265 from Malawi, are the sixth set of housemates to leave the house. The housemates were up for eviction alongside Idris, Goitse and Macky 2.


Samantha becomes South Africa's first housemate to be evicted, and Mr.265 is also the first housemate from Malawi to have his dreams brought to an end.

In a chat with IK, Samantha who was put up for eviction by the head of house, Sipe, told IK she had sensed an underlying tension between herself and Sipe, thus the nomination did not come as a surprise to her.

BBHotshots: Frankie and Permithias evicted

The Big Brother Hotshots doors slammed on Rwanda’s Frankie and Namibia’s Permithius Sunday night (9 November) as the show reached mid-season.


The eviction came after Ghana’s award-winning rapper, Joey B performed his hot song Tonga. IK from the beginning of the show announced that only two housemates would be leaving the house so there was little suspense for the viewers.

BBA Hotshots: Namibia's Luis Wants To Leave The House

During the day’s exercise session, the housemates were heard discussing about Luis and his intentions to leave the big brother house. They discovered that Luis had slept outside the house and had ringed the bell in the morning signifying his intention to enter the diary room and subsequently leave the house.

JJ and Idris went to him and tried to convince him to reconsider his decision and not to give up. After talking to him, they walked out of the diary room together. Luis had earlier packed his bags making his fellow housemates more than sure that he wanted to leave the house. Idris had spent all morning trying to convince Luis not to leave the house telling him that his decision was not a good course of action as leaving the house at this time was futile.


Alusa also chipped in by telling all the men in the Brother house that they need to lookout for each other making sure they avoid this kind of issues by being their brothers keeper just as they did for Luis. Luis seems to have calmed down as the urgency to leave seems to have reduced.

Seven housemates have been put up for possible eviction this week at the ongoing Big Brother Hotshots. 4 male housemates and 3 female housemates have been nominated, which means more girls may be going home this weekend, which will further reduce the chances of a female winning the Hotshots.

 Up for eviction are Alusa, Ellah, Laveda, JJ, M’am Bea, Macky2 and Permithias.

BBA HOTSHOTS - Last Minute Shenanigans Not Enough As Lilian & Esther Get Evicted

In the words of IK, we had come to that part of the evening he liked least and being the bearer of the bad news, he should know.

First given their marching orders was Lilian and just a moment later Esther was second in the contemptible eviction cart.

As the pair mounted the stage to join IK they were simply dripping Hotshot status.

This was much to Lilian’s fellow country mate Tayo’s shock as he called out to her saying “how could this be” to which Lilian responded it was okay. She most certainly didn’t look it. On stage she told IK she was shocked.

For old time’s sake she treated the audience to a free style rap as she dropped a twerk or two.

Esther simply took the sash of her country’s flag and embarked on a walk of shame. On stage Small Pepper told IK that she and Lilian had developed a close friendship in the house because they are straight talkers.

Soon after the Extravaganza show was over, housemates left the auditorium and scurried back into the house. Dancing ensued, displaying relief over the end of the Extravangaza. 

Lilian and Esther danced in front of the mirror in utter excitement and went absolutely berserk when Biggie put some music on.

For a while the house was on its toes, swaying from left to right, jumping up and down and housemates hugging and congratulating each other on successful performances. 

One could not miss the excitement all over the faces of Lilian and Esther as they hugged each other and soon after began dancing in celebration. These two ladies did not take losing in the previous Extravaganza and they worked particularly hard to redeem

Big Brother Africa Hotshot: Nigeria's Lilian Afegbai has been evicted

Lilian Afegbai, Nigeria's female representative to the ongoing Big Brother Africa Hotshot, has been evicted just two weeks into the start of the show. Lilian was shown the door out of the house today after she failed to gathered enough votes to keep her on in the game. Iguess not even the butt massage she received from Namibia's Luis was enough to sway Africa to her side. Hopefully, Nigeria's other representative, Tayo will go far and possibly win the show.

BBA HOTSHOTS 2014: Will Africa Save Nigeria's Tayo Tonight?

Barely two weeks into Big Brother Africa-Hotshots, the psychological interplay has begun. Allies and enemies have formed their cliques, each clawing and preying on the other’s weaknesses. 

The real game has begun. The dreadful eviction nights have arrived faster than time and the nominees wonder which one of them will have their perfect plan truncated.

The Zambian, Resa and Mozambique’s Sipe were the first to kiss the house goodbye. It’s awful to be the first to go, but that’s why it’s called a game. Tonight, Nigeria’s Tayo, Zimbabwe’s JJ and Rwanda’s Frankie are up for eviction.

Tayo seems to have started up on a bad note. He has largely been derided as immature and arrogant. The ladies especially feel that he talks down on them. However, he is yet to mellow as his aggressive nature gets worse every day. His housemates are somehow getting used to his daily tantrums. His loud comments nearly caused a fight between him and JJ during the week.

BIG BROTHER AFRICA 2014 - Mira And Nhlanhla Share First kiss, First Scandal

It only takes a little alcohol to bring out loads of personality. Whether authentic or not is neither here nor there but there is nothing quite like the affect that alcohol had on housemates behaviour after the party.

The new love-birds Mira and Luis joined their fellow love compatriots Nhlanhla and Sheillah to cool down after that work out on the dance floor. 

But under the influence the couples quickly turned into the awesome foursome, replete with enough scandal to raise the blood sugar levels.

It all started when the frolicsome Mira saddled her beau as they locked lips in full view of the couple on the other side of the road. Luis couldn’t have been more chuffed while Nhlanhla and Sheillah stroked and held each other closer.

Nigeria's Big Brother rep, Tayo welcomes baby boy

Yesterday evening, Nigeria's Big Brother rep, Tayo was the recipient of some superb news. He became the lucky father of a baby boy.

 Big Brother was the bearer of good tidings this evening as Tayo and fellow housemates came out of their gruelling dance training. Tayo was called into the diary room in what seemed like one of Biggie's twists and turns.
