Since taking over the reins of the Super Eagles following the exit of interim boss Samson Siasia under whose watch the team failed to qualify for the AFCON 2017, Mikel and
his troops have recorded three consecutive victories from the three matches that Rohr has handled.
And the out of favor Chelsea star who is yet to play a single minute since Antonio Conte took over at Stamford Bridge has highlighted what he feels has been the difference between the likes of Siasia, Sunday Oliseh and other indigenous gaffers whom he has played under at the national team level.
"The new coach has brought a lot of discipline into the team and the boys love it. We love the discipline that he brings into the team. You can see in the games now that there's more focus and more attention to details when it comes to set-pieces, free kicks.
"I stress a lot about paying attention to details because in the past, we've not had that before. But with this coach, before every game you know what you're doing, you know who you're marking, you know what you're doing when someone is there and everything.
"We have to pay attention to details. As long as we keep doing this, i think we've got a very good chance. we just need the same attitude, same focus same discipline. Playing for each other is something that's going to see us through." Mikel told the Super Eagles official youtube channel.
Mikel was on target when Rohr led the Eagles to their third straight victory at the Nest of Champions against Algeria in a 2018 World Cup qualifiers earlier in November. The goal was his fifth in 78 appearances since making his debut for the Eagles in 2016.
