Sports News: Steven Gerrard retires from football

latest sports gist reveal that the Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has retired from the beautiful game of football after a 19-year career which saw him feature in more than 850 match spread across his time with clubs and national team.
Information reveal mthat the 36-year-old played 710 times for the kops, winning eight major trophies which included lifting the UEFA Champions League in a dramatic final in 2005 after coming from a three goals deficit to beat AC Milan on penalties. He left the Reds to
join MLS side LA Galaxy in 2015.

"I feel lucky to have experienced so many wonderful highlights over the course of my career," said Gerrard.
"I have had an incredible career and am thankful for each and every moment of my time at Liverpool, England and LA Galaxy."
Gerrard captained the side at three of the six major tournaments and he finished his career as England's fourth most-capped player with 114 appearances.
