Latest gist as EFCC investigating CBN Deputy Governor, Bayo Adelabu over fraud with Deziani, Onasanya

It is currently gathered that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for some hours on Monday grilled a Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Mr. Adebayo Adelabu over the role he played on the financial allegations with former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke and former Chief Executive Officer of First Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Bisi Onasanya.

It was discovered on Friday morning that Adelabu was interrogated and admitted to administrative bail by the anti-graft agency for abuse of office and his role in the alleged siphoning of shareholder funds via phony loans at First Bank Plc, where he previously served as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer.

Latest update as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has advice bank customers against disclosing their Debit (ATM) Card details to fraudsters who send out fake SMS messages and e-mails.
It is gathered as contained in a statement disclose to Newsmen by the acting Director of Communications, CBN, Mr Isaac Okorafor on Thursday in Abuja.

Civil Society Groups Call For CBN Governor, Sanusi’s, Removal

 
A coalition of civil society organisations in Abuja, Centre for Conscious Living Against Corruption in Nigeria, has called for the resignation of the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi  over what it described as incessant violations of ethics of public conduct, fiscal responsibility and due diligence in the discharge of his duties as the chief banker of the nation.
