Abia State Governor Wins Suprime Court Case

It is reported that the Supreme Court, Friday morning, affirmed Okezie Ikpeazu as the Governor of Abia State. The case was filed by Uche Ogah who had accused Ikpeazu of allegedly submitting false tax information to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The information gathered revealed that Ikpeazu defeated Ogah in the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, primaries ahead of the 2015 gubernatorial election in the state.

News reaching us has review that An Enugu High Court on Friday nullified the impeachment of a former deputy governor of Enugu State, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi.

Onyebuchi was impeached in August 2014 in the infamous ‘chicken impeachment’ saga, after he was accused of gross misconduct by members of the state house of assembly.

News Flash As Governor Amosun Wins At Appeal Court

Political news update reaching us on our news desk reviews that the Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan on Thursday upheld the judgment of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal delivered on October 23 in Abeokuta which upheld the victory of Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun.

The five-man panel of the Appeal Court headed by Justice H.M Ogunjimiju unanimously upheld Amosun’s victory and dismissed the appeal filed by Mr Adegboyega Isiaka of PDP.
